Do I need an appointment to visit Brides First Forever?
Yes, all visits to our studio are by appointment only. Booking ahead means we can give you our complete attention from the moment you arrive — the studio is set, the experience is ready, and it is entirely yours. You can book online anytime through our booking page, or contact us directly if you need help finding a time that works for you.
How do I book an appointment?
The easiest way is to book online through our Calendly booking page. You can select your preferred date and time, and you will receive a confirmation email with everything you need to know before your visit. If you would prefer to book by phone, you can call us on 1300 110 246 during business hours.
When are you open for appointments?
Our appointments run Thursday through Saturday. We offer a range of appointment times across those days to suit different schedules. If you need an appointment outside those hours, get in touch and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Is there a fee to book an appointment?
No. There is no booking fee and no obligation to purchase. Your appointment is completely free.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking as early as possible, particularly on Fridays and Saturdays which are our busiest days. For made-to-order gowns, most brides start shopping 6 to 12 months before their wedding. Starting earlier gives you the widest choice across all of our collections, while a shorter timeline may narrow your options slightly, which honestly is not always a bad thing when it comes to decision making. Either way, we will always be upfront about what is achievable within your timeframe.
How long does a bridal appointment go for?
Each appointment is 1 hour and 15 minutes, and there is no limit on how many dresses you can try on during that time. If you need a little longer, we will always do our best to stay with you. This is your experience and we want you to enjoy every moment of it.
How many people can I bring to my appointment?
You are welcome to bring the people who matter most to you. Our studio can comfortably seat four guests alongside you, which also tends to keep the experience relaxed, focused, and enjoyable. A smaller support crew often makes the decision-making process much easier too.
What should I wear or bring to my appointment?
We recommend wearing or bringing nude or seamless underwear, as this gives you the best idea of how each dress will look and feel. If you have a specific heel height in mind for your wedding day, bring those shoes along. Light makeup is fine but we ask that you avoid heavy foundation or fake tan to help protect our gowns. Most importantly, just bring an open mind. Many brides find their dress in a style they never expected.
Do I need to know what style I want before I come in?
Not at all. Part of what we love about our job is helping you discover what you love. Our consultants will ask questions about your wedding, your venue, your body and your vision, and use that to guide you through our collection. Some brides come in with a very clear idea, others come in with none, and both are completely welcome.
Can my appointment be private, just for me and my guests?
Yes. Every appointment at Brides First Forever is a private, one-on-one experience in our studio. You will not be sharing the space with another bridal party during your appointment. We believe finding your dress deserves its own moment.
What size sample dresses do you have available to try on?
We stock sample dresses in sizes 6 through 24. This means most brides can get a genuine feel for how a gown looks and moves on their body. If a sample is not in your exact size, our consultants are experienced at using clips and techniques to show you how the fitted version would look.
What if I need a size outside your sample range?
All of our made-to-order gowns are ordered to your specific measurements, and we offer extended sizing well beyond our sample range. Inclusivity is something we genuinely care about, and we want every bride who walks through our doors to find a gown that makes her feel amazing. How much do your wedding dresses cost?
Our collection is priced to make quality and beauty accessible without compromise. Made-to-order gowns start from $999, fully customisable made-to-measure gowns start from $1,299, and no gown in our collection exceeds $3,000. We also have sale gowns available which can be taken home sooner, often at a reduced price.
What is the difference between made-to-order and made-to-measure?
Made-to-order gowns are ordered in standard sizes and then altered to fit you once they arrive. Made-to-measure gowns are cut and constructed to your specific measurements from the start, and can also be customised in terms of design details such as necklines, sleeves, fabrics, and more. Our in-house signature collections Hunnilee and Lusch are fully made-to-measure and completely customisable.
Can I customise a dress?
Yes, absolutely. Our signature collections Hunnilee and Lusch are designed exclusively for Brides First Forever and can be customised to suit your vision. You can combine elements from different designs, adjust necklines, add or remove sleeves, change fabrics, and more. If you have something specific in mind, tell us and we will work with you to create it.
What brands do you stock?
Our collection includes our own exclusive in-house labels Hunnilee and Lusch, as well as Tania Olsen Designs, Drew Valentine, Monica Loretti, and a curated selection of gowns from across the Justin Alexander Group labels. Each brand has been hand-selected for its quality, craftsmanship, and range of styles.
Do you have bridesmaid and formal dresses as well?
Yes. We currently have a selection of formal and bridesmaid wear available as one-off sale pieces, all at reduced prices and ready to take home. These are discontinued styles from our previous formal collections and are available while stocks last. If you are looking for a formal dress, get in touch before booking and we can let you know what is currently available.
How long does it take for a dress to arrive after ordering?
Lead times vary depending on the designer and style. As a general guide, most made-to-order gowns take between 4 and 6 months to arrive after ordering. We will give you a clear timeline at the time of purchase so you know exactly what to expect.
Our in house labels, Hunnilee & Lusch are often able to work on a much shorter timeframe as well.
How long before my wedding should I order my dress?
We recommend ordering at least 6 to 12 months before your wedding date. This allows enough time for production, delivery, and alterations without any stress. Starting earlier also gives you the most choice across our full range. If your wedding is sooner, we do have sale gowns available that can be taken home on the day, and some of our brands can work to shorter timeframes. We will always be upfront with you about what is achievable.
Do you do alterations?
We do not offer in-house alterations, but we are happy to recommend trusted local alterations specialists who work with bridal gowns. We will advise you on the best time to book your alterations once your dress arrives.
What happens after I say yes to the dress?
Once you have found your gown and decided to purchase, we will take your measurements, discuss your order details, and process a deposit to confirm the order. From there, we will keep you updated on your dress progress and let you know as soon as it arrives so you can come in to collect it. Think of it like picking up something you have been very excitedly waiting for.
Where are you located?
We are located at 15 Frogmouth Circuit, Mountain Creek, on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. We welcome brides from across the Sunshine Coast, as well as visitors travelling from the Gold Coast, Brisbane, and far North Queensland.
Is there parking available?
Yes, there is parking available at our studio. Details will be included in your appointment confirmation email.
Do you cater to LGBTQIA+ couples?
Absolutely and wholeheartedly. Love is love and every couple is welcome at Brides First Forever. We are committed to providing a warm, inclusive, and judgement-free experience for everyone who walks through our doors.
