What a day to remember! February 16th marked one of the most magical and fulfilling events in Brides First Forever’s history. The sunshine greeted us at the beautiful Venue 114, Lake Kawana—the perfect backdrop for love, excitement, and stylish celebration. From 10 AM to 2:30 PM, we had the honour of being a Major Sponsor at the Sunshine Coast Wedding Showcase—a role we embraced with open arms, heaps of passion, and, of course, some stunning gowns!
Reflecting on the joy and energy of the day, we’re still buzzing from the incredible connections we made and the smiles we shared. To all the brides-to-be, supportive friends, and doting families who joined us—it was, without a doubt, an extraordinary experience.
We Came Prepared for Magic
The day started the day before the event, when we arrived early to set up our booth with the help of the amazing Cloud Nine Weddings team. They assisted us in styling our booth with a gorgeous backdrop of fairy lights, a lovely chair, and a table that brought everything together beautifully. Our setup included stunning photos of our past brides alongside a selection of wedding and bridesmaids’ dresses, giving a sneak peek into what Brides First Forever offers.
On the day of the expo, we came in to finalise everything. After a little bit of time at the booth, Alyssa had to dash off to get the models ready for the fashion show. The fashion show featured 16 wedding dresses and 8 bridesmaids and formal dresses, and the models looked absolutely stunning in the gowns. They really seemed to enjoy wearing them, and it was so heartwarming to see them embrace the dresses so fully. Alyssa was able to join in for the very end of the show, and it was such a surreal, magical experience to see our dresses up on the big stage. The girls’ glowing smiles and the audience’s cheers gave us goosebumps—it was truly unforgettable.
Dress Giveaway Excitement
One of the most exciting moments of the day came after the fashion show, when we drew the winner of our wedding dress giveaway! It was such a thrill to announce the lucky bride who would receive her dream gown from Brides First Forever. While the winner wasn’t there in person, we reached out to her afterward, and she was absolutely blown away by the news. We’re beyond excited to be part of her wedding journey and can’t wait to see her shine in her dream dress!
A Bridal Community Like No Other
The Sunshine Coast Wedding Showcase isn’t just about gowns and glitter—it’s about community. Being a part of an event with other amazing vendors, from florists to photographers, was like stepping into the heart of the wedding industry at its most collaborative and supportive.
Friendly faces surrounded us from every direction. We shared laughs with neighbouring vendors and swapped advice with wedding planners. Many of them dropped by our booth to admire the dresses and chat about upcoming trends. It’s in these moments we remember how special it is to be part of a network that’s all about creating happiness and making dreams come true.
Big Highlights, Sweet Details
We didn’t just bring wedding dresses; we brought opportunities to connect and celebrate. Brides-to-be who visited our booth enjoyed personalised mini-consultations to talk about their style, dream gown features, and wedding themes. Even if some of them didn’t find “the dress” that day, they left with newfound confidence and excitement about their search.There was also a lot of love for our special showcase discounts. Brides who booked their in-store appointments at the event claimed exclusive offers—a little something extra to make their dress-shopping experience even more fantastic.
